The SDMM email database is quite large and hence the committee should take every precaution in ensuring that unnecessary emails are not sent to this list.

As a general policy, the SDMM Committee should send mass emails to the member database only if the following guidelines are satisfactorily met:
1. Information should be related to Maharashtra State, Marathi people, Marathi Language or SDMM programs.
2. Information should be something that majority of SDMM members would be interested in knowing.
3. Information should be related to India and or have an impact of significant magnitude on San Diego’s Indian community (e.g. Indian national celebrations, disaster relief for India, help to terrorism victims, charity work etc.).
